Starting in 2007, Renato has held various IT management positions at Credit Suisse, most recently as Global Site Reliability Engineering Leader – a role in which he was responsible for the bank’s IT resilience. In the past year, he served as interim Chief Technology & Information Officer (CTIO) for the domestic banking business, effectively overseeing the IT operations of Credit Suisse Schweiz AG. Previously, he was responsible for core banking systems, overseeing the upgrade of IT systems and the digitalisation of back-office processes. Prior to that, Renato worked for Swiss Re from 1999 until 2006, again in various IT management positions.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring in someone of Renato’s calibre and experience to la Mobilière as Head of IT,” commented Michèle Rodoni, CEO. “He will be a major asset to us in the ongoing process of modernising our IT environment and ensuring we can deliver our five-star service to customers – both online and in person – by leveraging the latest technologies.” 

Renato will take over leadership of the IT function on 14 August 2023. He succeeds Thomas Kühne, who in late 2022 took the decision to leave la Mobilière to pursue a new direction in his career. IT is currently overseen by Andreas Grütter on an interim basis.
