Bern, 26 October 2020 – The Board of Directors of la Mobilière has appointed Patric Deflorin as the new Head of Market Management from 1 January 2021. Patric has been a member of la Mobilière’s Executive Board since 2015, when he was appointed to manage the Insurance Division, which houses la Mobilière’s non-life activities. Previous to that, he headed up Private Individuals.

“I’m delighted to be taking on this new challenge,” said Patric Deflorin. “Our 80 independent general agencies provide customer proximity in all regions of Switzerland. They are a central pillar of our strategy. We aim to build on these strengths, as we believe authentic customer proximity will be a major contributor to la Mobilière’s future success.”

Patric Deflorin, Swiss citizen, holds a degree from the University of St Gallen in Risk Management and Insurance as well as an Executive MBA in Financial Services, earned jointly from the Vlerick Leuven-Gent Management School, University of St Gallen and HEC Montreal. He began his career as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He then gained international experience working for Zurich, the insurance group, where he held a series of management positions, the last of which was Head of Market Management.

On 1 January 2021 Patric Deflorin will take over from Michèle Rodoni, who on 26 August was named as the next CEO of la Mobilière (see Media Release). He will also remain Head of Insurance until a successor is appointed.
