Thomas Kühne has been Head of IT since 1 January 2019. In this function, he has successfully further developed the agile, interdisciplinary working method at La Mobilière.

The cloud strategy, for which he is responsible, serves to facilitate networking among the partners in the ecosystems and thus helps to foster and expand digital contact with customers. Thanks to the modernisation of the digital workplace, our employees were able to switch effortlessly to working from home from one day to the next due to the Covid 19 pandemic in April 2020: networks, bandwidths and laptops operated smoothly.

He has adopted various measures against the looming shortage of skills in IT: the number of IT apprenticeships has been increased and offshoring partnerships have been developed and expanded. With a women’s quota, taster evenings for girls about to start their careers and a mentoring programme, IT today also appeals to women in a more targeted way, thereby enhancing the diversity of the teams.

At the end of 2021 he was presented with the Digital Excellence Award in the “Large enterprises” category that was awarded jointly to IT and the Business Development division.

Andreas Grütter, Deputy Head of IT, is temporarily taking over management of the division with immediate effect. The search for a successor has been started.
